Editorial & Evidence Policy

A value is useful only when its source and applicability are clear. We record field-level provenance and separate reading a source from testing a mechanic.

Evidence labels

OFFICIAL_CONFIRMED
Direct project or author release information.
SOURCE_CONFIRMED
A directly inspected source supports the claim, without implying author approval.
COMMUNITY_REPORTED
A community source reports the mechanic; it is not official or our test.
IN_GAME_VERIFIED
Reserved for an actual documented gameplay test. No fields currently carry this status.
UNKNOWN
The reviewed evidence does not establish a value. It is never numeric zero.
WORK_IN_PROGRESS
The source explicitly labels the feature unfinished.

Version and confidence

Each data field records source_url, source_type, version, verified_at, evidence_level, confidence and gameplay_tested. The verification date is the date the source was checked, not a guarantee that the value was tested in game. “Unspecified” means the source does not bind its claim to a release.

Conflicting information

Prefer the explicit current official field over an older or unversioned claim. Giganotosaurus is the concrete example: the V0.6 changelog establishes 240 HP while the community entry reports 200 without a release stamp. We retain the distinction and do not merge the values.

Research limitations

Public source reading is not exhaustive. Some YouTube and Discord material was unavailable beyond a shell or invite metadata. The site has not been playtested. Unknown recipes, timings and compatibility remain unknown until evidence is obtained.
